I have dug around the internet and searched the forums here...but

I just got a coolit eliminator I plan to use on my q9450 to oc the bejeesus out of it..but got to thinking - would it be good for my I7 ? currently @3.8ghz with Scythe Ninja 2 43 idle 70 intel burn in stress...passes fine.

I read where tecs can have issues with heat output over a certain wattage?? I looked on coolit's page and they now sell a freezone for i7..but other than the i7 mounting it looks amazingly like the eliminator (spec wise). I have a p6 mobo so it has 775 mounting holes....

what do you think? try it? stick to Q9450 or take it back and fugeddabouit.

Yup, it'll be seriously outclassed by an overclocked i7. Get a proper custom watercooling setup, you'll be glad you did.
