Cooling using cold outside air?

Its pretty cold around here from November until March and generally below 55 degrees outside in the summer at night. Was contemplating a duct that would draw cold air from outside into the box. I would use a vacuum air filter outside to keep air from rushing into the computer when the air pressure varies in the house and outside. Ever heard of anything like this? When its like 20 degrees here would limit the flow with a fan controller. Can air be too cold? I know the temp will be somewhat inconsistent coming into the computer. During the summer I would disconnect the system during the day or turn off the duct fan. This would 1) allow fresh air in my basement 2) cool my computer for OCing

watercooled and use the outside air too cool the water you wont need much of a fancy fans and radiators you well need a water pump wish i prob could modified from a fish tank filter = and you though you were ahead of me. the water block would be the only official part. the rest would be = long hose + fish tank filter pump or a similar . lets seee ill get back you just gave me an idea on a Ghetto water cooled system.
 
I know there is nothing bad about 20F temps going into your PC, because people actually cool their PCs with liquid nitrogen. I haven't ever heard of someone trying this, but I used to think about it some times.
the only problem I could think about is condensation, or when it rains.
 
I just take the rig out on the deck temporarily if I want to bench with cold air. Anything else I imagine would probably end up being ghetto.
 
http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=9337 this is a actual pump used in water cooled pc kit all you need is extra hose to reach the outside of your window the cold air outside would cool the extra feet of hose the hose well act as a radiator also a oil cooler from a sportbike "motorcycle" if you could find a cheap one from a salvage or junk yard also could be use as a radiator. 120mm fans are dirt cheap . outside it would prob not need any fans. you would need anti freeze in the water .

Ghetto is a word used a little bit to liberal here . you could label a Dragster or a HotRod a ghetto compare to a standard car. any way if people were to worry about ghetto looks drag racing would ended long ago computers are no difrent.
 
Ha ha! I tried that once, posted somwhere in this forum a few months back....it worked, temps dropped all over the chart! I used some aluminum foil ducting and connected one end to the side intake fan, and the other end to the screen of the window (so no bugs would get in) and lo and behold, it worked! Should work for you, then! :)
