Cooling Problems with a Old Rig

I have been having problems with the cooling of my computer. I have a Rosewill RCX-Z80-AL I bought two months ago. It has been running fine until my computer gave me a CPU fan error today. I also got a System Fan error a month ago. To help with cooling, I installed an Antec TriCool 92mm in my case two weeks ago to help relieve the cooling problems; however, I also got a Case fan error as well and had to use the molex connector from my PSU in order to get that fan to work. I was considering to replace the Heatsink to a better one but could the Motherboard be also to blame? I think the sensors are not working like they should. The motherboard is a ASUS A8MwN-LA from an HP a1710n. I got this motherboard from my friend. I built this computer two weeks ago to replace an aging Dell 3000.

is the fan working perfectly fine with the molex connector or are you still having problems with the computer? its possible the fan header died or the motherboard is on its way out..
 
On the 92mm fan, the fan is fine on the molex connector. I still have problems getting the case fan and the heatsink fan to work on the fan headers.
 
if everything is still working.. just get a couple connectors that change the molex to the 3 pin connector and call it a day.. can usually find them for pretty cheap.. or buy a fan controller and connect them all to that instead..
 
The problem is that you are probably having motherboard issues w/ the pin headers, but yet you have to have the CPU fan plugged into the header? Check your BIOS to see if there are any options related to your fan speeds, etc. Otherwise, you may need a replacement board? You can get a replacement board for 40-50 on newegg.

I took a look at the BIOS and there are NO options related to cooling. So much for a free motherboard. :p

Newegg is your best bet for everything just about.
Also, check and see (as mentioned) about a 3 pin power - molex power. Even if you have to run the CPU off the PSU, instead of the Mobo (which is going bad, it appears), it saves you a lot of money.
