Is there a way to install ramsinks on them w/o involving thermal tape or conductive AS glue stuff? :(

umm.. you can try something like a very small dap of superglue mixed in with AS5.. supposed to stick, but would come off relativly easy if you needed it to

You can use thermal epoxy. The problem is, it will stick TOO good. Cannot be removed (easily) without damaging. Dissipates heat well though. I have used it many times.

Sticking forever isn't what I'm worried about. I don't plan on putting the OTES back in. Just worried about conductivity. Just going to be extra careful and use AS goop glue. :D

AS5 isn't electrically conductive, but it is capacitive. If you are worried about shorts
use Arctic Ceramique, or better yet Shin Etsu. This is where the "dab of super glue gel
in two corners" method comes in handy.

seconded, I use ceramique too for expensive/dangerous places.
If AS has capacitive effects, it becomes electrically conductive at frequency. For our purposes it is conductive and does cause damage if it gets on high frequency electronic parts.

AS5 isn't electrically conductive. It is only highly thermally conductive.
Highly thermally conductive compared to air, but compared to almost any other non-insulating solid, its thermal conductivity is terrible. ;) (if I remember the numbers correctly)

you remember correctly, however whetting (how thinly it spreads) is often more important than thermal conductivity.

personally, i mix AS epoxy and AS thermal compound to get a removeable adhesive.....works pretty well both in terms of thermal conductivity and removeability.

if you are not confident in your ability to apply a conductive thermal adhesive to the mosfets, it's easy enough to insulate the pins with regular epoxy prior to applying the adhesive and cooler to the mosfet chip package.
