Cooling i7 920 without backplate install.

Here is the thing, I have an i7 920. I'd like to replace the stock intel cooler and I would put my Tuniq Tower on it except for the fact that I would have to remove the entire freaking motherboard and tear the whole system apart to install a BACKPLATE on my motherboard.

So what I am looking is a cooler that is perhaps a bit more efficient than the standard Intel and is more QUIET, but allows for installation using push pins or without a backplate. I'm more concerned with noise than overclocking.

My case is a Silverstone FT01.

Any suggestions?
 
IMO, you're just going to have to remove the motherboard. Backplate cutouts FTW!
