Cooling a shuttle?

Is shuttle's proprietary heatsink and case fans really enough? I'm considering buying one, just kinda amazed that it would be enough to cool a QX6700 and an 8800 GTS which I see you can have added in their configurator.

One other thing about shuttle...they have pretty minimal resellerratings.com stats, but people seem to love them on boards- thoughts?
 
I'm going to guess that most people here will say go to Newegg, buy the shuttle barebone system you need, then you cpu, vid card, and accessories. Build it yourself, OC if you want, and save some money.

As far as that being true, the saving money part, I really don't know. It's just a guess.
 
Well even if I built it myself using the barebones kit, it still comes with their proprietary heatsink and case fans, doesn't it? So is that enough to adequately cool it, if that's what they use in the builds for consumers? I really don't know how much Shuttle cuts corners on things like that, if they even do? Hard to get a feel for them with not much resellerratings scores.
 
The heatsink in shuttles are good enough, just be warned that they will run hotter compare to mATX SFFs and regular desktops. You can always switch the stock fans if you feel it isn't doing the job. I changed the stock CPU fan and northbridge heatsink in my shuttle.
 
I have the SN21G5 with a 3800X2 as my work computer and it runs 24/7. The cooling setup is good enough. The fan is temperature controller and will throttle if needed. It comes with software so you can set what the desired temperature or fix the fan speed. The system runs at about 40C-50C (idle/load) and is quiet. If I wanted it to run cooler I could up the fan speed, but it can be really loud. Running at max fan speed the system runs very cool, but its insanely loud.
