Does anyone have one of these cases? If so, what do you think of it? How's the air-flow and overall cooling?

Air flow in the case is good but what it really stands out is its build quality and cable management.

Great case. Couldn't be happier with it. Lots of cooling. But like It_Shiro says, the cable management and build quality is very good. Plenty of room for tower heatsinks and larger video cards.

I have heard and read good things about it, if it is the style you like and it is in your price range, give it a shot!

I had this case before I purchased my Haf932, good case but my GTX260 barely fit in it. There was like maybe a little less than half an inch between the end of the card and the hdd rack. to me that was to close. Cooling is decent, Cable management was nice, all black interior was very nice. All together Great Case at great price.

I've heard good thing about them as well, but personally like the HAF922/ Storm Sniper a bit better. They are a bit larger (mostly in depth) so even the monster cards are fine, and seem to have a bit more airflow. those 2 are basically the same case, just different aesthetics. I picked the HAF because it would fit my desk (just barely) . If only it was available in Aluminum :(

I really like my HAF932. I don't have to worry if monster graphic cards will fit. And the 5870 will soon be going into this thing. I just wish it came with air filters. That's pretty much it's only big flaw. The sides could have had a better design but the front looks great imo.

Oh yeah and it's heavy. But it has wheels! So you can just wheel it around.

So if it were lighter and had air filters it would be just about ideal.

I'm not a big fan of the looks of any of the HAF line of cases, but I know they do their job well.

How about the Coolermaster 840? I really like this case as well, despite the fact it's double the cost of the Scout.

interesting.. just bought a HAF 922 yesterday. Will be replacing a Smilodon from Raidmax. Theres no cable management and the cooling sort of sucks in the Raidmax and well going to see if this isnt a pretty good improvement.

I'm not too crazy about the orange parts in side, but I like the black. It almost looks like a smaller version of the Cooler Master 6890.

You mean the 690? I'm actually in the process of modding a 690. Plastidip is wonderful stuff. :)

I'm not sure why a mid-tower would have extra room for giant video cards.

It delivers on all it promises. The Guardian is nice but I might move back to the Scout. I do like the top power supply not found in the Scout, it has bottom.

I have the Scout and love it. Lots of nice features for the price. Plenty of room for my 4870 and Xigmatek dark knight but keep in mind it is still a mid tower, so larger coolers/cards might not fit so well.

I just got a Coolermaster Scout and I have Pictures! wanna see? lol. Be warned im not sure the 5870 X2 would fix I hear its gonna be 12 inches long vs 10.5 inches long. My wiring is the best I can do. Since I'm running 2 4870 X2s I couldn't figure out how to hide the wires for the video cards themselves. I have a Prolimatech Mega Shadow on the way with 2 additional 120 coolermaster Fans. Also I would like to give credit to a previous person who posted the top fan trick.

I moved the 140mm fan from behind the hdd cage and installed it in the 5.25 bays. Then added a 120 down below. The 140 is no longer being blocked by anything so it moves more air. It screws directly to the 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapter

So, for those of you who have the Storm Scout, how is your cooling/air flow? That's the biggest reason I was comparing this case, or seeing if it is worth the extra $100 or so to get the 840.

I installed a friends system for him in a storm scout. It's really a lot more roomy than it looks in the pictures on the egg (at least in my opinion). As for airflow, his system runs cooler than it did in the thermaltake armor jr. he had before. I personally love the look of the scout too.

There is no issue with air flow unless your absolutely horrible with cable management, then no case will help you. :)

I think I'm going to be picking up the Storm Scout tonight. My local MicroCenter has a few in stock for a good price. I'm hoping they have a demo unit that I can check out as well.

Please feel free to take a look at my Scout setup posted in the case section if you want a look at it loaded out :)
