Hi,

I was wondering if the cpu/motherboard/video card temperatures effect their performance? In other words, do lower temps = better performance?

YEs, cooler is better.

true.. but temps do not effect performance.. your hardware will still run at the exact same speed whether its hotter or cooler

however.. heat can cause instability.. can cause yoru hardware to not last as long.. and it certainly limits your OC.. but a cpu running at 35C will not run any faster than a CPU at 45C at the same clock speed

Well true and not true...

Lower heat = lower electromagnetic resistance.... which can in fact mean better performance... however, you wont notice it when you are talking about a few degrees celcius
