Anybody done it? I have an old, modded case that has unfortunately suffered as a 1st timer... it's seen better days. I was wondering how hard it would be to convert it into a test bench?

It's got a removable mobo tray, steel construction. I was thinking mobo tray horizontal on top, right side panel as a base, drive cages and PSU in between, some of the lateral supports chopped up into "legs" for vertical support for the mobo tray, then create a plexi (or similar) square cover to just drop over the top (maybe some air holes so you could run it with the cover on).

Thoughts?
