Recently I noticed the red light on my mouse was appearing far more often than it used to. I would leave the mouse in overnight and even when it showed me there was a full charge (solid green light and then no more green light) it would turn red after maybe an hour of use. So I went to Radioshack and bought some new Ni-Mh AA's rated at 2000 MAH figuring they would work fine. When I first installed them the mouse indicated it was charging for about fifteen minutes and then the solid light went on. Confused I used my mouse as I would until the red light went on, about fifteen minutes later. I then left it in the charger overnight. Still, after only a few hours of use the mouse flashed red and then died. I'm starting to wonder if it's the base station or the mouse that is faulty and not the batteries. Anyone have any experience with problems such as these?
 
from what it sounds like, it could be a number of things. since both the mouse and the basestation actually work, i'd blame it on the charging mechanism on either one, the thing is, which one?

i'd try the base station first, im not sure if the mice are interchangeable, but see if you can charge it on a friend's base station or even vice versa (friend's mouse on your station)


you could always call logitech and see if this is a known problem

I really wish I could test this somehow but seeing as I don't have another mouse or basestation I really can't do anything about it. I'll probably just end up calling Logitech.

Sorry I couldn't help anymore, maybe someone else knows, but calling Logitech should definately help out alot.
