Hi all. Just wondering, could anyone give me a rough idea of how much faster the E6600 is compared to my 3700 claw? A percentage would be good. Oh, and we are talking both CPU's at stock by the way.
 
Not necessarily. Performance on the e6600 would be much higher than on your processor in any CPU intensive program regardless of dual core optimization. 80% seems high though, but all the benchmarks I've seen so far compare the conroe to better AMD processors than the one you have so it may not be incorrect.
 
I've had AMD CPUs since the Athlon first came out. This is the first time since that i've considered Intel. I'll be looking to upgrade my system as soon as my AGP 6800GT no longer cuts it. A dual core chip is a must for my next CPU. Cheers for the replies.
