so when is the official launch of Core2Duo Conroe line of processers?

Actually only the NDA was lifted, the launch is today the 27th. You should see volume shipments on the 7th.
 
i guess the days of my being flamed for saying that intel is being a little iffy on the release date and that none would be available on the 27th are over. the fact is, today is the 27th and there is nary a c2d to be bought anywhere. just a legend about some 6300's at 1 store and some tiger direct bullshit.
 
So far the C2D Extreme is up on Newegg, and a variety of models (e6400 on up) are available on the Dell website in the xps line. I spoke with a sales guy at velocity micro, and he assured me the processors would go up sometime today.
