Connecting my comps

Have a desktop with some things I want to save, but can't burn them off that comp. Have my laptop where I'd like the files from the desktop to end up.

Desktop has xppro, laptop has XpMCE, both connected to the internet on the same DSL at my home. The desktop through hard cabling, the laptop through wireless.

What's the easiest way to get those files from my desktop to my laptop?
 
Google is your friend.
You will basicly set up a network, Allow sharing on both.. And your all done..
Its not hard to do. Just follow directions

thanks, wasn't looking for a 10 page how to on the forums, just a "you'll need to buy hardware", or "you can just do it via software" answer :)
