Hey guys, I am thoroughly confused. My processor is a 3700+ san diego. I just got 2 ,1gig sticks of corsair ddr500 ram. Before this I had 2 512 sticks of OCZ El Plat Rev 2. With the OCZ ram I was able to run at FSB 255, with the proc at 2.8mghz totally stable. Now, with the new ram, I am unable to run at the rated ddr 500 specs. I have tested both sticks seperately, in single channel mode, and they can easily run their ddr500 speeds....but not when they are in dual channel. Furthermore, the proc will run at 2.8mghz, but with a 333 memory divider.
So I know the proc can hit the 2.8 OC, I know the ram can hit the rated speeds, but not @ 1:1 in dual channel. I have had this proc for a while and have been OCing for a while. Does this mean that the memory controller is at fualt here? Do I need a new proc soon, or can it be the mobo? Since I updated the mobo(asus a8n-E), ram, and graphics card at the same time....
