I've been thinking about throwing a good Peltier on my watercooler, but I'm a little worried about the condensation (and the process to prevent it for that matter). Quite some time ago I was going to try out a peltier and followed one of the guides online to fix up my mobo and ruinded it in the process. The Dow Corning sauce that came in the kit hardened and I couldn't get the chip in the socket, and when I finally did it made the pins all nasty. The setup never again posted, and I couldn't get the CPU to post in any other boards either even after cleaning off all the hardeded goop. Are there any precautions I should keep in mind or anything I should add/skip from these tutorials? Is the peltier risk greater than the gain, and even with extra low temps how much extra OC will be available, is that worth it?
