computer won't boot up anymore (weird)

ok so my computer decides to not boot up anymore. i dont know why. i shut down my pc after checking my email and the weather reports before going out. when i come back, i press my power button and go take a shower. when i come back, the pc is basically hanging like it would from a bad OC restart. this is weird because the computer has been on stock settings and has been working flawlessly until now. any ideas? i tried resetting BIOS and all connections SHOULD BE fine since the pc hasnt had any problems until randomly now.:confused::confused::confused:
 
have you pulled the plug completely and then tried again after plugging it in? could be bad coincidence with a dead PSU..

i have unplugged and replugged and tried booting up the system. same results. just hangs with nothing showing on the monitor.
 
one person told me it could be possible that the mobo has gone bad. another said the video card could be the cause of this. i did play HoN at 1680x1050 resolution and high settings, so that might have taken a toll on my video card. i'm thinking about RMAing the mobo and the vid card one at a time. does anybody know how gigabyte and HIS's rma process is? hopefully they were pleasant.
