Computer turns off randomly

Hi all,

I have been having this problem for so long. My computer will just turn off without warning.

I have changed the power supply and memory and it still happens. Even tried reinstalling windows.

Is there anyway to find out what the problem is. I tried Event Viewer but I don't know what to look for to see if there were any errors.

Is it because of some bios settings?

How are your temps, is what they were asking. You might need to reapply some paste or clean components.
 
I'm not sure. How should I go looking into the temperature? I need a temperature logger so I know what the temperature is before the shutdown.

What is the optimal temperature anyways for my CPU?

A lot of times I leave the computer on doing nothing and the problem would happen.

Are you using a UPS or other battery backup system?

When my UPS batteries died I saw similar behavior -- putting the machine under load, like with gaming, would make it happen faster, but just idling at the desktop it would eventually just cut off. No warning, no restart.
 
its a long shot but inside of windows the power management you have the option of when to turn your pc off from 1 minute to never option. Look at that ive seen some pc's set to turn off after 10 minutes of non activity. its in the control panel.

If it's not the PSU and not the CPU overheating, the GPU is next up on the check-list.
Make sure the GPU fan actually spins. I see you have it throttled to 20% in speedfan - maybe the low RPMs and/or dust bunnies cause it to grind to a halt sometimes.
Shortcut for GPU heat: open the side of the case and place a large fan next to it, direct airflow towards the GPU.
