Okay, so I have my computer hooked up to my sony hdtv through the ati dvi to component video adapter. The highest resolution I can get without the boarders going off of the screen is 1776 x 1000 30hz interlaced. Now I understand the 30hz interlace part, but why do the boarders go off of the screen at 1920 x 1080 30hz interlaced? Isn't 1920 x 1080 30hz what they call 1080i? Not that it really matters too much, (1776 x 1000 is a pretty sweet resolution at 50 inches), just kind of curius.
