alright guys i need some help. My computer shuts down randomly for no reason and i dont know why.... I have changed the power supply, and i have changed the motherboard and reformatted as well.

Here is how it does it. It might work for a full day...then all of a sudden it will shut down and restart. When i power up...it'll shut down again..and over and over and over. It just keeps rebooting over and over and over again until i completely shtut it down. After i shut it down for a good amount of time and start it up again...it'll work until the next spaz attack of reboots....

what is wrong with my computer? I built it myself and i have built several....i cant narrow this problem down anymore.

we ran memtest86 and it keep rebooting....

removed the rAM...tried new ram....could it be the case shorting it out? I am not overclocking

it rebooted DURING memtest? wow, ive never had that happen, even when my cpu is WAY above what its stable at in windows...you got another board to test all your stuff with?

edit: what are your system specs?

Prolly over heating.

Check to make sure the fans are all running, clean the dust out of your heatsink for the cpu.

Leads me to this conclusion because it is fine for a time until it does start shutting down, then it wont stay on for more then a little bit of time.
And because memtest is in dos there is no thread to make the cpu cooler when idle so it runs close to full load temps.

if it were overheating, it would shut down the system, not reboot it
