I had a computer problem before with getting a windows blue screen error "irql_not_less_or_equal", i thought it was the intergraded sound card in my mobo so i disalbed it and then installed a soundblaster, error still occured so then i formated my system..full format to get rid of any drivers etc installed everything nice and new, but every now and then my computer restarts for no reason or freezes any idea, i checked the ram no issue, cant be the sound cause i have 2 sound cards both cant be broken, cpu is fine no cracks, hd brandnew no bad sectors, videocard checks look good 2 any, running a 550w Vantect PS, getting enoughf voltage

system stats --> 1gb OCZ Gold,AMD 3200+,160GB Western,Ti4800,MSI K7N2 Mobo,Sound Blaster Ex Plat all drivers are fully updated, bios updated, system is water cooled idle 23c Load 29C or less
AND EVERY THING IS STOCK NO OC ON ANYTHING!!!! NOTHING IN THIS COMPUTER HAS BEEN OC YEAT ANY WAY :D

Spyder, have you tried looking for any funny messages in your event viewer? I'm not sure if you'll get something in there, but it's worht a try Eh (canadian accent here)?


Try moving your PCI cards from one slot to another, to force your system to enumerate the Pci slots again. Could be a PCI conflict.

Another thing that I've done a few times to pinpoint the source of the problem is to run with as little hardware as possible (remove all that you can spare) Even extra hard drive... Run your system for a while, see if it does it.. If it doesn't, add a card, repeat, until you find the culprit... From there, it's all about doing net search to find out why this hardware piece is causing you those reboots...

I'm in NO WAY shape or form a specialist of hardware, but I've been around for a while, and those are tricks that helped me find solutions b4... I figured you might as well have *some* direcrtions to go until the real deal posts his answer. :)
