This is a complete n00b question Im sure, but Im going to ask anyway because even though Im sure I could search and find the answer in seconds I dont know what I would search for to find it.

I am looking to hook my computer up to my TV (I know the quality will most likely suck alot). I have a normal 9700pro. There is a spot for an S video cable on the card. If I plug that into the tv will that work?

Yes it will. You will also have to enable the TV Out in the driver control panel (under Displays). I think that the quality is actually pretty decent. It looks as good as a standalone DVD player when I use it, plus I get my 5.1 surround sound.. :)

Awesome. I wasnt sure if that was a TV in or out thing. I havent set up the computer yet, as I am waiting for the CPU to arrive tommorrow, but I checked the monitor I was going to use and it is no more so I need the tv for the time being

if it's a ATI card it should automatically turn on the TV-out at bootup.
