System Specs:

A64 3800+ x2 + zalman 9700
Asus A8N-E Premium
2 gigs Patriot pc3200 (SPD is 3-3-3-8 @ 2.6v, tried 1T or 2T, tried 3-4-4-8)
corsair 520w psu
7800gt with vf700

When I run my ram in dual channel (slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4) my computer is really unstable and randomly will blue screen or shutdown.

When i run my ram in single channel (slots 2 and 3) my computer is more stable but still once in a while it blue screens or shuts down.

My temps are never past 50*c even with dual core orthos

What I am puzzled with is with cpu-z my settings seem a little off (although they are exact in bios)

Another thing is that when I boot up it says 2097 mb of memory checked (installed) but in bios setup it says 2048mb and also in windows/cpu-z it says that at all.

The memory itself has done 7 passes with zero errors in both dual channel and single channel so i dont know what gives. Before i just had a 1 gig stick of gigaram pc3200 and i never got blue screens/random shutdowns that i can remember.

I read the asus manual and it says it doesnt support 128 bit ram (when in dual channel it shows as 128 bit ram) but it still crashes sometimes when in single channel.

Is my board fubared or my ram? (running latest bios also tried the one before that as well)

i had a nice o/c before and now i have to run stock till i figure this out :(
