Hi, I got Windows Vista Business 64 bit edition. Been running it for like 2 months now and its been fine. However, now when I turn on my computer it doesn't get past the windows load screen. The bar just keeps going and going. I thought Windows might need to be repaired so I put the Vista disc, but it does the same thing when I boot from the DVD, it just stays at the load screen. Starting a couple weeks ago I got a SMART error on the POST. I backed up my data, but just kept using my computer anyway cause I didn't notice any problems with it. Even if my HDD is messed up now, I'd think that the Vista disc would at least get to the repair/installation screen. Please post any comments on what might be wrong, or how I can fix it. Thanks.

umm, I duno.

Get Ultimate Boot CD, and and run diagnostic tests on the hdd.

Swap out the HDD and see if it will boot to CD. Doesn't it load temp files to the HDD?

yea it says loading windows file, but then goes to the windows load screen and doesn't get past it. So I am really confused as to what the problem is.

Haven't seen this problem...well, okay, I have, but it was from overclocking.
