Family computer next to me here. It goes to sleep, it'll wake up every 30 minites or so with a beep, screen will flash on. Usually it'll just go right back to sleep... then repeat 30 minutes or so later.

It's not heat, it's a p200, it couldn't overheat if I took the heatsink and fan off and this happens late at night even if it's cold too. The beep is coming from the PC speaker, not the big ones, so I'm assuming it's somehow hardware related. This started just after I was fiddling with the ram, it's got the original ram back in there though...

Specs:
~ p200
~ 32mb ram
~ win95

It's not a major issue, it works fine, just that beep every 30-60 minutes... curiosity more than anything else I suppose :) Cheers.

Have you tryed turning the music down? Maybe it can...nevermind lame attempt at a joke.

Anyways, have you check for spyware/viruses?

Aye, clean as a whistle as far as the daily virus scans report and the occasional adaware has nothing to complain about except a few cookies either.

It's pretty stripped down startupwise, trying to conserve ram, 32mb doesn't stretch very far at all. There's nothing running that shouldn't be unless it doesn't appear in any of the windows startup or in the run/runonce keys in the registry and doesn't appear in the task manager...

It would toast in 2 seconds if you took the hs off.

Are you hooked up to broadband and if so do you have wake on lan enabled?
