it's a computer air conditioner

i was looking at the review and thinking that it's not very effective in fan cooling systems
but if placed in a liquid cooling system, with a evo 360 radiator mounted at the top of my case sucking as much air out with lots of air flow as it does now, i was thinkining maybe it's worth it hehe. I will let you guys know how it goes.

i don't know about that exact one but there's a case that has an aircon built-in

it's loud IMHO but maybe not to others..

alos remember anytime you're subambient you run the risk of condensation

it's not likely in this situation because it only drops air temps a few degrees but if you right at the dew point anyway it might push it over the edge...

like i said not likely but possible..

It's a perfect rip-it-apart-and-replace-noisey-components contender.

Running the cool side over a radiator would be a nice project, and not likely to bring the concern of condensation.

people have been using pelts for years, which is whats in that device... usually they would be placed between the CPU and heatsink (cold side facing the CPU obviously)

thing about them is they use huge amounts of power if you want to move a lot of heat... but they do work...

you can buy just the junctions themselves for not that much money, but most of the time you end up needing a seperate power supply just to power your pelts
 
I'm not sold. Assuming it doesn't hit below ambient, then it doesn't quite work as an air conditioner. Even a nice big fan with a delta strapped on should do better. If it goes below ambient, then condensation, which they don't provide for.

Rip off.
