I posted a similar topic in the OS forum before I knew what the cause of my problem was but I thought I might get a better response here. Basically I had a rogue drive Q: showing up. From what I understand that is something that is common when using Virtual PC or Microsoft's App V technology. Virtual PC was installed when I enabled XP mode in Win7 64bit but I have since removed it and the rogue drive remains. Does anybody know how to get rid of this?

thats odd, i still have xp mode installed, windows is not showing any "rogue" drives. as for removing it, have you tried removing it using diskpart from a command prompt?
