Hello everyone! I was wondering if the folding client for mac is compatible with the intel macs?
I failed on recovering my old WU from my old box and want to continue folding for the horde asap. Thanks for the info. :)

In a quick skim over that, it seems that they might just be running in Rosetta, not particularly efficient, but it appears they are running. The good news is that they are looking to port the cores, so hopefully it'll all be native before too terribly long. :cool:

If I recall MAC’s don’t use a bios but instead run on firmware. I have heard it mentioned that Apple would soon have a firmware release, which should allow Windows to run, or even do dual boot.

Since MS and Adobe have been very open about their eventual discontinuation of support for Apple products due to lack of market share my guess it you will see Windows on a MAC with the next big Windows release.

Just a guess, but the rumors have been around for a long time now.

Well if the Boot Camp bootloader works well at all, this really could negate the need to worry about OSX binaries at all. Shudder the thought, but now the best route fold on a MAC might just be using XP in the short term. :cool:

 
yeah i have read that it works pretty well as is easy to get installed.
