Comments on the Acer AL2016W

I'm looking at buying this monitor and then another one to match it in a month. For $300 is this the best bang for my buck?

This monitor is cheaper at Buy.com, plus there is a code to get $15 off. The monitor is a nice monitor, but the reason why a lot of people pass it up is bc there is no DVI on this monitor.

from what I've read, DVI and VGA (which I'm guessing is what this monitor is) are the same thing. I've heard there is no signal difference.

I also read, which contradicts what I just said, that there's is DVI-a(nalog), DVI-?(digital) and DVI-? which is both analog and digital.

Anyone?
