I was wondering if anyone here know who makes and where I can buy some clear color coolant? I just bought some primoflex 1/2 tubes so they are already colored and I don't want to make it any darker but still have the corrosion protection? Thanks a million

Water Wetter used in proper mixtures will give you a clear solution. I would mix 2oz of water wetter per gallon of distilled water. Don't be alarmed if it turns pink...it will turn clear after a while in your loop and give you some corrosion protection. You can get water wetter at autoparts stores and online in a wide number of places.

what did Liquid_Cooled put in his system, that looks nice.... its a light blue color, i think you would like it

he used either Zerex or AUDI's blue antifreeze.

do you have alu in your loop? if not run 100% distilled.

just avoid particle based dyes thatll stain your tubes. other than that I think zerex is your best bet.

are you saying that if you dont have alluminum then all you need in the loop is distilled water?

We've already gone over this in another thread. DO NOT USE WATER WETTER! It is bad for your loop. As far as a colorless coolant, you can go to an aquarium store and check what they have there...

You can pretty much get by with just distilled water if all your metals are the same...

If you want a "clear" coollant there a few things that you can try out.

1. The obvious is using distilled water with an algaecide.
2. Fluid XP - A non-conductive fluid for your system, and it is totally clear.

As far as an antifreeze or the like I dont know of anything else..... I hope I helped steer you in the right direction. :D

dont know if you can get this in the states

If your metals wont cuase any galvanic reactions then yes, you can get by with just distilled.
BUT, corrosion inhibitor isnot the only duty of an additive.
Aside from preventiong galvanic reactions an dadditve will prevent algea and bacteriate growth in most scenarios.

One can use 100% distilled (best temps) whilst realizing a water-change at least every three to six months.
