well i dont know much about inkjet printers, but i was wondering if they had any decent ones for around 100-175 dollars. the main use would be to print dvd labels for my backups. thx

I like my canon i860 $150 from best buy. It's quiet, fast, and prints clearly but i don't know about printing dvd labels. I think epson has a printer that prints directly onto dvds

Stay the fuck away from Lexmark. Just not worth it. Canon makes pretty good inkjets and their ink is cheap. Epson is also good. Just be sure to factor in the cost of ink as that can quickly add up to more than the cost of the printer if you aren't careful.

I have an i550 which has been replaced by the i560, but they are both similar and awesome. Actually, there is a printer that prints directly onto cds. You should check it out.

The Epson R200 prints directly onto inkjet printable CDs and DVDs. The media is more expensive than non-printable, but you won't have to buy labels and have to put them on. The printer is only $100US.

Check it out at www.epson.com

i was actually thinkin about the canon i560, its like 100 i think. as for labels, i already bought a shitload of the neato (fellowes) labeler kit, so labels isnt really a problem. what do u guys think of this printer(canon i560)?

I got the i560, and I must say it's one of the best damned printers in it's price range. It replaced my Epson, and I love this thing. Very quiet, quick, and prints photos very well. It is also very efficient with the ink - low use. I would recommend this printer to anyone.
