Color LCD problem..Possible fix?

Ok so I look at the diagram for this lcd which is designed for cars...

The wires go


----------Red12v----->
------Black GND--->
-----yellowbackup-->
---green brake------>

So shouldnt I connect to the molex by.........


----------Red12v-----> YELLOW ...... cause the yellow is 12v right.. not the red?.....
------Black GND---> BLACK
-----yellowbackup--> IGNORE
---green brake------> IGNORE

Dont you mean LED and not LCD???
If your talking about one of those LED conversions for the rear lights on a car then if you hook up just the 12v and the ground you wont get all the possible light out of the bulbs, you will need to also hook up the green wire to 12volt also, now the "yellowbackup" has me a little confused, as your backup lights shouldn't be in the same bulb as your tail and brake lights.
And yes the yellow is 12volt on your power supply, some PSU use orange, but the Red is always 5volt and I never seen a PSU use anything but red for the 5volt.
 
Why did you start a new thread for this? And you still haven't told us what your problem actually is. But yes, yellow is 12V.
