I have UV Reactive Water Dye in my W/C PC as well as all sleeving in vantec uv reactive sleevings. Is Cold Cathodes what I am looking for are is it uv black light?

Cold Cathodes come in UV Light, and if you're looking for the UV Light.

Personally, I'd go with cold cathodes. They're brighter and smaller (easier to fit in your case). They're to the price now that there's really no reason to buy neons. Just make sure they're UV.

There's no such thing as a "UV Red" light. You have to understand that UV is a band of light and, by nature, is purple in appearance. If it were red, it wouldn't be UV. The UV light will cause all of your UV-reactive stuff to glow, so don't worry about that. You just can't get a UV light that isn't purple....not possible.

I wanted both, so I got both. I have dual red and dual UV cold cathodes in my case, but I have them switched to the front panel so I can decide which set of lights I want on at any given point.

2nd down is red from overclockers.com article, though even the reds I tried in mine looked more like orange or pink

If you want the cheapest got to www.coolerguys.com and order a dual UV cathode kit from pcToys. I got 2 of the them for about $12.00. That's 4 12"in UV cathodes for less than $15! Can't argue with that... plus they put off a great UV light as well. Not as "purple" as the Sunbeams and CoolerMaster versions.
