See sig = current rig...
I don't have cash to build a new box yet.

I was running @ 1920x1080 TV x 60hz x 47"
I had a few 1 hour sessions before it locks up, but now I can't play 15 minutes.
I updated drivers, backed down to 1280x720 & selected "optimized" settings.

Game startup warns that I do not have enough ram.
Will adding another 4 GB of ram help me at all?
Would a video card w/ more ram solve this + carry forward to a new rig this summer?

EDIT: just double checked my ram!!!!!! one stick is not properly seated!!!!!!
I will shutdown, reseat ram & report back ASAP...

8GB of RAM should be plenty. As for the lock up, does the Windows Event log report anything failing before that happens?

RAM not properly seated could cause issues.

8GB is now properly seated & shows correctly in CPU-Z & game still locks up after a few minutes.
~ I pulled my ram last week to blast out my heatsink w/ canned air.
~ yes, I was drinking beer at the time...

Usual set of recommendations:
Clean & update GPU drivers
Reduce OC
Run memtest to ensure memory works properly.

I had similar issues with Ghosts and we are just two of thousands the game is unplayable for most people who purchased it. I ended up buying it again for my ps4 and to now avail have encountered similar issues on the ps4 version frame rate spykes and my ps4 freezing while playing the game.

all I can say is mate is uninstall the game and wait for a patch that fixes the mess that is COD Ghosts
