hello,

just curious to know if anyone has ever tried watercooling a coolermaster stacker 830 internally? the reason i ask is that the case comes with a huge fan bracket on the side, has anyone tried hanging radiators on it? if theres room, it would be nice to hang some 120.2 radiators on it.

I doubt there would be enough clearance between the radiators, fans and any subsequent video card/expansion card you would have in the system. I can't tell you from firsthand experience, but I'd make sure and take some good measurements first before committing...
 
yea, i agree, was looking at it some more and space will be tight. another thing i noticed is that the fan bracket holding the 4x120mm fans are not 'packed' together, .. in other words, the mounting holes for the radiators would be off.. well it would've been nice if it did fit though... gonna go to a local frys today to take a look at it, maybe there's still hope.. heh
 
I'm using an off the shelf water-cooler internally with the Coolermaster Stacker 830 SE. The cooler I got is also by CM its called the Aquagate S1. Its not the best cooler, but I got it for $75 so it seemed like a nice buy. The only problem is I cannot use the fan door with the cooler (had to remove the door). I've got the cooler mounted on the exhaust fan bracket and it just barely fits w/ my 780i motherboard. Although the CM 830 looks huge, its really not that wide. For example, if you want to use a TRUE or Tuniq Tower you need to remove one of the fans (top-left) in order to close the case. So do your measurements well as others have said.

Also, there is absolutely no way you can mount anything other than plastic fans on the fan door. The joint that holds it is plastic, held in by a spring. It will *NOT* support a radiator no way, no how. However you can mount on the back 120mm fan bracket as I did, which would work with a smaller kit like the Swiftech H20-120 Compact: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835108100

There is also space on the bottom of the case for 2 120mm fans. It looks like its possible to mount a radiator in that position, but I am unsure how that would effect the water flow. Also, make sure to get the 830 SE because it has holes in the back for the tubing.
 
You could mount a single 120mm on the back and a 2x120 (with some modification) on the bottom. The side bracket is useless for radiators, though, and even if you built something to replace it, there would not be enough clearance.
