If I go water cooling in my new CM690 this is going to be my inspiration.

I'm interested in seeing someone mount a little 120mm rad on the bottom.

(grim, I find you everywhere lol)

I'm getting this one for my little sis rig. I really like it :)

OT: How are you gonna mount the USB/eSata etc. sockets if you hide the pre-cut hole?

might mount it on the front of the case, but i really dont care for them right now. Ugh, i forgot to take pictures of the front panel, its modded too. I have lots of front usb/firewire/audio ports from other dead comps, maybe ill make a front bay for that.

Btw some people were asking if the rad would fit inside the case on the top? You can't, its like 1-2 cm too thin, even to jam the radiator in. The rad would probably hit the mobo too. I took pix. The rad is a swiftech mcr320

I need to file the hard metal edges down now. This is homecoming week for my college so i might not get around to it :(.

Then i need to fill the gaps in the top between the rad and the sides. I tried using the leftover mesh from the top, but the mesh warps when i work with it. A friend suggested using bondo/fiberglass/body filler. I'll experiment with that soon.

Did you have a hard time cutting through the mesh? Im not trying to be mean but they came out rather rough in some places. As long as the rad mounts I dont think it will be a big deal though.

Rad grills make it look "purdy" again! I had a radiator on this case and then took it out and gave the case to my wife.. I "fixed" the big holes in it by adding a rad grill and some modders mesh..

I like this case, i've elected it for my next build over the 900. I see the 900 owners put impressive effort into wire management. Hopefully over the next few weeks some 690 owners will show off some wire-origami work with these cases as well. ;)

Got an update? I have this same case and was thinking for rebuilding a new WC setup in it and want to do the same thing by mounting the rad on the top. Thanks.

I used a metal cutter on the top, which is why it came out so rough, but I found a dremel on thursday :D.

It is intentionally cut off center because otherwise the barbs would skewer the mobo.

sorry no updates yet, I've been swamped by homecoming all week. I'll post more pix next week when the waterblock, pump, and metal mesh come ASAP.
