I remember reading a long time ago that the larger the cluster size, the faster the read/write to the hard drive (but at a slight loss to space). I have two Maxtor 250GB hard drives at RAID 0 through my Promise TX2000 RAID controller. I just defragged using diskeeper, and noticed that my cluster size was 4KB. Would I be at an advantage to change my cluster size to 64KB? If so, what programs do you suggest? Thanks everyone!

i think its like 4k per disk or somehting like that, i am running 64k and my raid 5 array in my server is running 128k

4k is the default NTFS cluster size
the larger the cluster size improves performance at the expense of increased slack.
Its generally accepted that throughput improvements on a stripe, level off when the cluster size equals the size of the stripe size.
