Everything runs fine though windows starts up fast and apps run smooth.

should i runtern these back to where i bought them?

I would. Don't take any chances with your data and when in doubt, always cash in on the warranty before it expires, because then you'll be really screwed.

Good plan, but at least there should be at least 3 years of warranty left on every Raptor out there. Hey, maybe someone wants to trade me a new 300GB Maxtor for my pair or 36GB Raptors? :D

heh. Problem is, though, you don't get three years of in-store warranty. After the first month you get to wait while they're sent back to the manufacturer, unless they have an express exchange policy which kind of sucks :(
