Just clocked my xp2500 to 200 x11, ran seti version 3.08 which according to win2000 was using up 100% processor time. Seems to be running fine.

at Idle at normal spec ie 166 x11 average temp was 40 -43 C. Running Seti at 200 x11 it went up to 55 C max and seemed happy to hover there.

Question is what temp should one get worried at. is 55 to high for sustained use. Amd say 85C is max chip should take yet I have read threads where people seem to think 50C is too high.

My Fans are good and I dont intend to go to the edge. can I keep 200x11 at these temps. I am a first time clocker and I have not adjusted any thing else such as voltages-memory is in sync (100%). Thanks for your help.

PS. can any one recommend monitoring software , I use asus probe at present but it is somewhat limited. :)
