Hey guys, I just bought the Platinum setup with the livedrive 5.25" bay... I bought 1/8 to 1/4 hookups for my headphones/mic, and everything sounds fine. When I try to setup my mic input as Line-IN2/Mic-IN on the Surround Mixer program so I can talk in games, it will change back to microphone after a short while....

It's extremely annoying to think I'm chatting in game, then hear no responses, so I have to alt-tab out and change the mixer settings again to have my mic-in setup. Does anyone know of a way to permanently set it as Mic-In/Line-In 2??

it's just switiching automaticaly for aparently no reason?

thats odd. unfortunately, it doesnt surprise me.

try this perhaps:

in the eax console, go to 'clean up' and select 'enable audio cleanup'. select the line in/mic input and lower all the noise reduction sliders to zero (you dont need to actually clean up the input). now try playing the game.

I dunno.... its a weird fix, but it might work. I just sold my platinum... that thing was alot of headaches.
 
still no luck after doing that! i just want to set the mic-in as default! anyone know how to do this??
