cisco IOS releases/information

does anyone have any good websites on IOS information, release-notes etc on the different revisions/trains/types, etc? getting back into the swing of things a la cisco, and need to get caught up on different releases and their changes.

Do you have a CCO account on cisco.com? That's really your best bet. Look at the notes for the new releases of IOS.

basically everything relating to the 65xx IOS revisions (known bugs/issues within each IOS, software fixes between IOS, etc), not necessarily WAN (ISR) routers;

Theres some of the latest notes for the newest 6500 IOS release.

Mostly the biggest changes for the 6500 has been the chassis stacking VSS 1440 stuff with the new VS-SUP720 sups, and they have started doing some software modularity features, to where parts of IOS can be updated without taking down the whole system

how is VSS working out for you?
amazing it took cisco so long to introduce it; i've been using nortel's SMLT for 6 years and it works wonderfully

not to mention i can do it on edge switches now; i.e. don't need to buy new SUPs for chassis based, etc.

i wonder how mature VSS is?

i'm most likely moving to a new position that is all cisco/6500 so we'll see.
