Chrome & Hardforum question

I've been using Chrome more lately but I noticed something that annoyed me about it while browsing the hardforum.
Picture links appear as links in Chrome while the pictures simply load in Firefox. I've looked for a setting to make Chrome behave the same way but I'm coming up empty.
Anyone have any ideas?

PS. it does it on other forums too, just checked.
 
I'm a little confused. Are you referring to images themselves (images posted with the
i] (i.e. text links to images posted with the [url] tag)
