As the title says, I accidentally took a nice chip out of the glass front of one of my monitors.

And, while replacing the monitor itself is an option, I'm reluctant to do that, because apart from the damage, the monitor is otherwise in great condition. And not being sold anymore (Sony CPD-G400). So obviously I'd like to keep the monitor alive.

Now, using it as-is is not really an option, because the chip is rather noticable. But I have no idea as to where to start, should I get in touch with a Sony service center and see what they suggest?

Or am I completely without hope of repair and should just bite the bullet and replace it with a used/refurb monitor?
