The tubes used in water cooling can kink if you need to make tight bends in the tubing. Sometime you may even need to use elbows but this stuff makes it so you don’t need elbows at all. It is also cheaper than using clearflex or tygon.

And yes it also look cool.
 
This stuff is like a spring you wrap around the outside of your current tubing. It just lets you bend your current tubing around tighter radii without kinking.

Its just a little bit smaller diameter than the tube and it is smooth.

Ah, that's cool, never seen it before. I thought it was that corrugated-type tubing at first. So what kind/size tubing is that in the picture?

very cheap 1/2" OD 1/8" wall vinyl tube
