As far as I can see there shouldn't be anything wrong with this build, but I would like a second opinion. This box would be running ESXi 5 (VMware vSphere 5 Enterprise Plus licensing) off a flash drive with storage being done via iSCSI. I would be buying two of these setups, and they are going to be dedicated for software testing in our QA lab.

Am I missing something obvious? This just seems a bit too cheap for a quad GB port box with 192GB of ram.
 
That is a killer deal on that type of server...holy cow!! Looks good to me..actually looks great for the price.
 
That's exactly what I was thinking. It just seemed a little too good to be true, which is why I am asking if I am missing something stupid. :)
 
One thing I did notice, if you can live with 4 network connections..fine...minimally I would go six and segment two for VM's, 2 for MGMT/vMotion (alter nics in teaming), and the other two for iSCSI and since you're going EP, I would use vDS for additional capabilities.

Of course this may be moot because it's for QA..etc.
 
4 is double what the current QA servers have if that tells you anything. :)

LOL...ok..then.....yeah..didn't think it would be that important..it's just what I prefer. I also prefer running my MGMT network in a vSS and the rest in a vDS..which you don't have to...to each is own..lol.
 
I don't need any local storage on them. I am just looking for CPU and mostly memory.
