Hello m8s,

Im reading all threads for some days already , but still havent dicided yet, and i need some ideias pls to a cheap mini-itx not hardcore gaming , some cod4 , wow , and htpc too to watch some movies and listen some mp3.

Mats i have:

- Keyboard and mouse
- 1TB Samsung hdd 3.5 (will be nice to have a case with 3.5 support)
- i dont need dvdrw

I think the "monitor size" question would be better phrased as "monitor resolution". Especially in terms of graphics cards, there is kind of a leap between 1680x1050 and 1920x1080. Pretty much any decent graphics card these days will be able to handle your movie watching needs.

That said, I will toss out a general starting point for people to "beat up" and discuss. All of my prices are based on Newegg, but I imagine you can find the appropriate reseller in the UK.

Silverstone Sugo SG05-450 Case (mitx case with 450W SFX PSU)- $119
Intel Core i3 2100 CPU - $120 (includes stock cooler)
GIGABYTE GA-H67N-USB3-B3 mitx motherboard - $115
Nvidia GTX 460 video card with 768 MB memory ~ $120 with rebates
4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333 (variety of brands for about $40) - [can make it 8 GB 2x4GB for around $80]

Total: $514 plus any tax and shipping

Quick notes: There are cheaper H67 motherboards out there. If a person can find the AsRock non-wifi version, it is often around $100-105. It should serve you fine as well.

The GTX460 768 is kind of a "bang for the buck" selection considering many of them can be had for around $120 these days (e.g. Sparkle & EVGA re-certified versions). If you are trying to game with it at 1080p, I would consider it marginal for demanding games, but it should be able to handle WoW & COD:4 at that resolution. A person probably needs to be up in the $160 range to get the 1 GB version of the same card right now. I'll let the AMD experts suggest something in the same ballpark/price range.

not that I am any kind of expert, AMD or otherwise, the HD5850 has just been updated from sapphire and is running about $150. Also the HD 6870 is a good choice, even if a ~$20 more. At $120 I think it would be tuff to be the GTX 460 768. for the record, I have no preference between AMD or nVIDIA
 
Thanks for the input wwischerath. I didn't mean to backhandedly label anyone as an AMD "fanboy" with my comment about "AMD experts". It's more just me admitting my knowledge of vid cards is primarily on the Nvidia side. Both companies make good products but I just haven't educated myself on all of the good SFF options on the AMD side. You helped clear it up.

And his case is easy, almost anything will fit. Try to find a card that fits a Q07! At least without removing the USB ports.

DesertCat has it right. The nV 460 GTX 768mb is hard to beat. The only reason I might choose an AMD card over nV is because nV doesn't always like to play nice and share its CUDA or PhysX with AMD components. The next best choice for AMD is the 5770, which will run you about $100, but you still have to dance with Mail-in Rebates.

Im planing to get i3 2100, GIGABYTE GA-H67N-USB3-B3, 4gb ddr3, 1TB hdd 3.5 seems better choice for the price i guess or not ?
the graphic card is what im confuse to get, GTX 460 1GB ? or other ?

The power supply of SG05-450 is enough for all of that?
What about the cpu cooler , change it or not ?

The GTX 460 1GB is typically going to get about 2 fps better performance than the 768MB model at 1920x1080. Some people like it for a bit more texture memory. Right now, you are probably going to spend around $150 for one of those. The 768MB model will run you around $120 and is easier on the budget. It's really up to you, but I'm in the process of a similar build and went with the 768MB model.

The 450W PSU of the SG05-450 is plenty for all of that. These parts under full load are probably only going to take around 270-280W of power.

The stock cpu cooler is also going to be just fine and is said to be relatively quiet. It's actually something of a challenge to find a decent replacement cooler for these boards due to the cramped confines. If you are looking to keep it within your listed budget, I wouldn't bother with finding a different cooler.
