Im makin the switch from AGP to PCI and its costing me a bit. Over £100 for the mobo, gotta spend another £80 on a new PSU. And i have no PCI cards. Im gettin rid of a 6800GT AGP and im lookin for almost similar performance so i can still play fear and stuff like that. What midrange card can i get to support me until my 7800GT quest?
Also. How much can i get for my practically brand new BFG 6800GT OC with an NV5 fitted. In GBP if poss please?

I'm not sure how much they cost on your side of the pond, but the new 6800GS may be just what you are looking for. About the same peformance as a GT while costing about as much as a NU.

Used 6800 GT's usually sell for ~$200... don't know the exact conversion.

But that also means it's ~ the same price as a 6800 GS. Grab a PCI-E 6800 GS after you sell your 6800 GT.

Why do you need to buy another psu? Just because your motherboard has a 24 pin header on it doesn't mean you need a 24pin psu, believe it or not. I'm running quite well on a 20 pin psu on my evga nf4

DFI wont give u any support unless your running a native 24Pin PSU with at lease 480W. I have a 20Pin 430W. And im lookin to OC quite alot with sli. Need the juice

Depends. I don't know how many people would be in the market for a used 6800GT, but that NV5 cooler would make it more marketable to an overclocker. I'd say something around $220 or so. Don't know what GBP is, sorry =P

If you want a CHEAP graphics solution until you get a PCI-E graphics card, why don't you just get a motherboard with an ATi Xpress 200 chipset (comes with integrated graphics and an open PCI-E 16x slot).

If you want the same performance you have right now, save your money until you can warrant an upgrade that is going to give you a performance boost. Or, if you really feel like you need a PCI-E slot in your computer, I believe there is a motherboard out that has an AGP8x and a PCI-E x16 slot. I forget what it's called.
