Well right now i have two 120gig segate hard drives set up in raid.

i have it set up in partion C as 20 gigs (operating system) and partion D 100 gigs (file sharring)

how can i change partion C to 30 gigs and D to 90gigs without messing up the data on it?
thanks

judging by your file size, I assume you are running raid 1. Is it software or hardware raid? Depending, it may be possible to use the gparted boot cd to resize the partition. If it is indeed raid 1, I would think about switching to just one drive as your primary, and your other drive with some sort of weekly backup. That way you protect yourself from data loss though both corruption and user error.

ok its setup as hardware raid with 2x120 gig hard drives. They have tapes to run backups also. I dont know why they would run it like this? but that is how they have it setup up. And im sorry, yes it is raid 1, forgot to put that up there.

it windows server 2003 so I can not use partition magic (yes i tried just incase).

so what should i do, since we use the tapes to back up should i switch one to main and one to secondary?

is there any way just to change the size of partitions? casue the 20 gigi partion is ful and the 80 gig partion has only 15gigs on it....
