Changing from graphical to console

I am running a graphical on a couple computers at the house and am choosing to change them over to the console version. I have added the -oneunit command to them. One of the systems will have completed its unit and is sitting there waiting for me.

How do I ensure that the data gets uploaded to Stanford?

Can I keep the log file? I would love to keep the number of WUs completed in a record of some type.

Thanks

Run a command prompt and say:
FAH502-Console.exe -send all
and that should dispatch all the units ready to send.

With -one unit, "Instruct the client to quit following the completion of one work unit." It looks as if once the WU is complete, it sends in the results, and then stops. As for keeping the information, you can always move your log files into the new directory with the console client, and it may pick up on it, if not, just keep a note somewhere in the directory (txt file?) with the information that the graphical did, so you can keep track in your head of how many each computer completed. Hope that helps.

I believe that you can uninstall the Graphical client, replace it with the console and run with a -local -configonly to verify that it's picking up your configuration settings properly, then you can run the console with the -local so it continues to use those settings, that should be the easiest route.

Awesome! So after putting -onunit on it, the program has already sent the work packet and shut down. I copied the log out of the directory and deleted the contents. Copied the console version into the directory. Did a -configonly run. then copied the log file back into the directory. Also HideitX works great. Now I can shut it off when I want with just a click.

Thanks all for you guidance.
