Ok, I got a power supply change over kit from Xoxide and was wonder how the hell you get the pins out of the Molex connectors? I tried just yanking and it really didn't work good. I need some tips.

Thanks, I figured I needed a special tool to compress it. Didn't think it would cost 35 bux tho.

Take apart a cheap ballpoint pen (preferably one near empty). The inner ink tube works just fine.
 
But what you guys are posting the only thing he can remove is the 4pin molex.
 
HardOCP also sells the tool to remove the 20/24 pin MoBo connector, that one is a lot more expensive.

I've never had much much removing the male molex pins (if he also needs to do those), for that I just buy new male molex pins from HardOCP since you're probably going to fubar them trying to remove them.

As far as removing the fan & floppy connectors, the tool is called an eye-glass repair or jewler's screwdriver which can be purchesed as Revco/CVS/RiteAid/etc for about $1.
 
male molex pins are easy with the ballpoint pen trick... from a tut i wrote...

What you want out of that whole ordeal is the ink reservoir. The back (keyword, back, you don’t want ink on your Molex pins fits perfectly over the pins! imagine that... (well you don’t have to, here is a pic)

So you push it in all the way, then pull the wire out from the back. The 2 wires you want to pull are 12v and the ground closest to 12v. It should look a little something like this:

And when you’re done, you are left with a beautiful 5v only Molex connector:

but most molex are female so this doesnt realy help too much. i havent figured out how to make a female pin remover... if some one knows how, please let me know ;)
 
Yep that worked great for the few males I had, but still no luck with the females
