I recently had a mobo and processor go kaput :( , so...I ordered a new mobo and processor which the specs are going to be twice as fast as the soon to be previous specs.

I'm not familiar with the window$ XP locking up after dramatic hardware changes, but I have heard of this numerous times in the past.

After I change out and upgrade the hardware, will window$ lock up on me because of it?

Thank you for your time and dedication for solving my obvious question. :)

You may have to reinstall, and even if you don't you should. You can "repair" your Windows install using the installation disk once you install the new HW, but your install will never be quite right after that. Windows will likely make you call MS to activate it.
